Staff Member Testimonial

My journey with Star Health begun when I was positioned here for my student dietetics placement in 2016.

From day one I was blown away by the friendliness and warmth of the staff, their willingness to lend assistance, and even their eagerness to simply stop by for a chat.

Having enjoyed my placement and wanting to continue on with the project, my placement partner and I signed up as volunteers.

I was amazed by the opportunities offered to volunteers including staff training days and enjoyed helping out at events where I could connect with the local community and learn about the diverse initiatives offered by Star Health.

When I saw an available role for a Health Promotion Officer with Star Health, I didn’t have to think twice. I was excited at the prospect of following my passion for preventative health in an organisation that I knew was supportive and caring through my experiences. Postponing my trip to Thailand to attend the interview ended up being well worth it!

Whether as a student, volunteer or staff member, I have always felt respected and welcomed within the organisation. Every day I am inspired by the great thinkers around me and their commitment to providing genuine support not only to clients but also to one another.
