Media Release: We’re moving … on the double!

As we get into the swing of the new year, Star Health has been busy, with two office moves in St Kilda and Bentleigh in recent weeks.

On Friday 15 March, The Hon. Martin Foley MP officially opened our new St Kilda Service Centre at 22-28 Fitzroy Street.

Minister Foley spoke passionately about the importance of the leadership of Star Health in delivering engaged, place-based and responsive services that Government can look to, particularly in the increasingly contested operating environment.

He commended Star Health for working collaboratively with the local community and partners, and highlighted the important role of organisations like Star Health in championing decency and justice in local communities. This new Service Centre provides the perfect platform to do this in St Kilda.

In his address, Damian Ferrie, CEO of Star Health, explained how critical it is for Star Health to have a presence in the heart of St Kilda, as it enhances our ability to respond quickly to the needs of local residents and to local issues.

In addition to the opening of our new St Kilda Service Centre, our Cheltenham site has closed and a new, larger site opened at Level 4, 973 Nepean Highway in Bentleigh.

Damian Ferrie, CEO of Star Health, explains the moves as ‘a very exciting time for the organisation.’

“As the nature of Star Health’s services grow and evolve, we need to be better located to continue the high quality integrated care we are known for,” he said.

“These new sites will allow us to increase the number and type of services we offer our community.”

Both are highly visible and well serviced by a range of public transport options.

“Star Health is a proud and active member of our community,” adds Damian.

“We have had a strong and supportive presence for 45 years and are one of the largest, most varied primary health providers in Victoria. Each year, we care for many thousands of local people with programs and support.

“These purpose-designed sites will help to consolidate our very important work and further position us as a credible and innovative leader of primary health provision to our diverse and vibrant community.”

Aside from the new addresses, nothing else will change.

If you need an appointment, just call us on our usual number – 9525 1300 – and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new sites in the future.
